When we founded Hydrologiq in 2020, hydrogen was the problem we set out to solve. Off-grid diesel was on borrowed time, hydrogen was emerging as the hardest of the clean alternatives to operationalise, and the people bringing it to market (fuel suppliers, rental companies, construction contractors) were managing it on phone calls, spreadsheets, and point solutions built for a different era.

Five years, 30-plus deployments, and more than 6,500 operating hours later, that problem hasn't gone away. But it has got bigger.

What changed

The companies we work with are no longer moving from diesel to hydrogen. They are moving from diesel to a complex mix of batteries, solar, clean fuels, hydrogen, and hybrid systems, and they are hitting an operational scaling wall as they do. New energy carriers come with constrained supply chains, tighter regulation, and an asset mix that looks different on every site. The complexity compounds faster than legacy tools can handle, and spreadsheets and basic telemetry were never built for it.

If you are managing a clean energy fleet, a hydrogen distribution network, or a mixed asset operation at scale, you will recognise the feeling of being buried in data without the intelligence to act on it. Our platform now solves that problem across every technology in an operation, not only hydrogen.

Why the name needed to change

Hydrologiq was a name that described what we started with. Logiq Systems describes what we do.

Logiq Systems Hydrologiq Energy Managment Systems

The Logiq platform was always built as a multi-technology system. We started with hydrogen because it is the hardest: constrained molecules, complex safety requirements, and supply chains that cannot absorb the inefficiencies diesel always forgave. Getting that right gave us the operational depth to extend across every technology that follows, including battery storage, solar, alternative fuels, and the constrained-molecule supply chains that underpin the wider clean industrial transition.

Keeping "Hydro-" in the name quietly told a different story. It suggested we were a hydrogen specialist bolting other technologies on the side. We weren't. We had built an operational intelligence layer, and hydrogen was where we proved it.

"The objective has always been to displace diesel and scale cleaner solutions. We're still bullish on the fact that hydrogen is going to be a leading fuel replacement in the off-grid energy sector, it just won't be alone. Given we've always been building for that bigger picture, hydrogen was the logical place to start, you solve there you can solve for the rest. However, it is time to change our name to reflect the fact that we cover far more than just hydrogen. It speaks to what the platform actually is — one system for managing the operational complexity of the energy transition, across every technology and every supply chain our customers rely on. The hydrogen work continues, and it continues to matter. It just stops being the ceiling."

What Logiq Systems does

The Logiq platform unifies monitoring, supply chain management, and demand forecasting across every technology in your operation. Whether you are maintaining uptime across a clean energy deployment, optimising fuel supply to a mixed off-grid fleet, or managing hydrogen and clean fuels as vendor-managed inventory across a distribution network, Logiq gives you one system to see it, control it, and scale it.

AI forecasting, supply-to-demand optimisation, and real-time multi-system contextual alerts give operators the intelligence that legacy tools cannot support. It is the operational layer that makes a multi-technology, multi-molecule operation manageable, without the exponential growth in ops headcount, the data silos, or the compliance risk that comes with fragmented systems.

Trusted by Toyota, Acciona, Protium, Balfour Beatty, Sunbelt Rentals, GRAHAM, and Boomtown Festival, with over 6,500 operating hours and 30-plus deployments across construction, events, and industrial sectors.

What is not changing

For existing customers and partners, very little changes in practice. The people you work with are all still here. The Logiq platform continues on the same roadmap and the same continuous improvement cycle you already know. Every existing agreement remains in force, and our legal entity is unchanged: Hydrologiq Ltd is still the registered company, now trading as Logiq Systems. Your logins, integrations, data, and support channels all carry on exactly as they are.

What does change is the visible layer. Our website, email domains, and external communications will move across to the new brand over the coming weeks, and your account contact will be in touch directly with the specifics. If you bookmark anything, bookmark [logiqsystems.com]; legacy Hydrologiq URLs will redirect.

What's next

The rebrand arrives at a period of real momentum for the business. We are live across construction, events, and industrial sectors, working with customers across the breadth of the transition: hydrogen fuel suppliers scaling distribution networks, rental companies managing mixed clean energy fleets, and industrial operators planning multi-year decarbonisation roadmaps. Those customers are not piloting. They are running.

Our ambition is straightforward. We want to be the operational intelligence layer that the energy transition runs on. That is a different role from a monitoring tool, a reporting tool, or an inventory tool. It is the system that pulls all of those together and turns them into decisions operators can act on.

Hydrogen remains part of that. So do batteries, solar, clean fuels, and the constrained molecule supply chains that the next wave of industrial decarbonisation will depend on.

A new name for a bigger job. We're getting on with it.
